Hi Earl,
Thanks for your response. I'll be putting your "go ahead
with the work" form in the mail today; you'll get my check
for $ XXX.XX before the form
arrives. And it'd be great, for my own accounting purposes (and
my curiosity!) if you can describe on the final invoice the
work you've done on the machine. (like what the parts
fabricated were, and things like that). I appreciate your
work on this, and you and your father's commitment to staying in
the business when others have quit!
yours,
John

John,
We appreciate your confidence in our ability to properly oversee your particular repair to a successful conclusion. Unfortunately, we have no way of completely itemizing any repair that involves our machine shop work integrating with our repair work due to the complexities of fabrication processes. Attached however is an E-photo of your work at this stage before completion. If you wish, call Robert at 215-855-6851 between the hours of 9:00 and 5:00 eastern Tuesday through Friday and I am sure he would be more than happy to answer any of your specific questions concerning your machine.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Sincerely,
Earl De
Barth

Dear Robert De
Barth:
I just opened up and unpacked the typwritter you shipped me back
to me>>>>>
I'm sure you hear this all
the time but bear with me if I tell you and you hear it
again>>>>>> WOW
It looks showroom
new>>>>>> I am stunned>>>>>>
I took the pleasure of using it and I must differ in your
opinion>>> You told me it worked fair>>>> I
think it works like new>>> Granted, I was not using it
when it was new. However I did use it when I typed my
college term papers 20 years ago>>>>>
That typewriter has special
meaning for me since it was my grandfathers in his store and the
pleasure it gives me to have it in the condition you have
restored it to is well worth the price you have undercharged
me>>>>> Yes< UNDERCHARGED>>>> I
have taken it to other places and was told it couldn't be
fixed>>>>> The fact you have fixed is a miracle
and the condition that you have restored it too exceeds miracle
status>>>>>> Thank You so
much>>>>
Feel free to use this letter
in any advertisement>>>>>
In Albany I'm about to become your biggest spokes
person>>>>>>>
Again>>>> Thank You, Thank You, Thank
You>>>>
Sincerely>>> Philip Andrew G.

Thank you so much for the service you have extended. I received the instructions for reloading the DB-50 a few days ago and the Typewriter came today. Once again, a tribute to excellence. It is rare to find someone who still believes in a job worth doing is worth doing well.
You are on my list as #1 in business machines and I will provide testimonial to everyone looking for anything in that line. Thanks again.
